The former adult living and dining room has been reimagined as a stylish and functional kitchen and dining space. This was the most critical room to get right for the client as he loves to cook and host.

 

The green kitchen units bring a fresh vibrancy. Complemented by an aged mirror splashback that adds depth and character, while also reflecting GP&J Baker’s Nympheus wallpaper providing another layer of colour and pattern.  A slim yet practical yellow prep island enhances efficiency, while a burgundy oven continues the home’s signature red thread, echoed by bold red stools.
 

In the dining area, lower green walls ground the space, (also a practical step for a family with young children to be able to redecorate easily) while the beautiful decorative wallpaper depicting drooping lotus leaves and birds adds charm and personality. Yellow Eames dining chairs inject a playful and modern feel (also super practical with young kids) and opaque lampshades lend a soft, diffused glow, evoking a relaxed French-inspired ambiance.
